Wildlife in Spain

The cuckoos have departed so they are no longer to be seen.  

Allen was lucky enough to get a photograph of a kestrel who was in the middle of his evening meal of rabbit.

Just further along these 3 rabbits were watching intensely - probably thinking glad that's not me!

But did they call for Divine intervention from this special religious bunny with his dog collar.

When Allen arrived home he found one of the deckchairs occupied by a very large cricket.

Lisa of course thought he had come to play with her as she loves her insect friends!

Snakes Alive

Just a quick post with Allens' latest nature photos. Two snakes seen on his evening walk.

Lizards abound

Allen came back from his evening walk having seen various large lizards tonight. So many he could have been visiting a reptile house at a zoo.

He also saw a couple of Hoopoe birds and a buzzard.

Safari

Allen is still taking his camera on his evening walks and the cuckoos are still around.

The rabbits are now posing for him

We dont know for sure what this is - its similar to a pray mantis so if anyone knows - post a comment.

Allens 2nd safari

Allen & Lisa's evening walk is developing into a safari.  Over the last 3 nights he has spotted various birds, animals & reptiles.

Allens Safari

Allen normally walks Lisa each evening and has started taking his camera with him after twice seeing a large snake.
Although he hasn't been able to see a snake on his recent walks he did come across a rather large lizard.

Not being able to get a really good view he went around the bush to get a better one.

Sister Julia in Kington, Herefordshire said that she hardly ever hears a cuckoo nowadays let alone sees one - so specially for her.

And just to prove that its not the same one twice.
